Your Event: Center-Stage

At People’s Light, the spotlight shines on the stage, but when you’re hosting an event or dining at The Farmhouse, the focus is all on you.

We’re passionate about stories, and we want to be a part of yours. When you choose The Farmhouse, you’re opting-in for an all-inclusive experience. From our dinner-and-a-show dining packages to our comprehensive wedding and event offerings, we’re excited to serve you and your guests.

Nestled among seven acres of idyllic scenery, our property pairs rustic roots with country charm. Our spaces include our 1700s farmhouse, a modern 200-person ballroom, a hardwood-floored and cathedral-ceilinged, indoor pavilion, as well as a revolutionary-era barn converted into a 350-seat theatre, all surrounded by our meticulously curated English gardens.

Don’t just picture it, see for yourself! Book a tour or make dinner reservations today.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of People’s Light, The Farmhouse and Bistro fund artistic work in the community and beyond. Founded in 1974, People’s Light serves as one of Pennsylvania’s largest professional non-profit theatres, known for our resident company of artists, eclectic mix of productions, and innovative work with young people.

In our 8-play season, we present stories drawn from ancient times through tomorrow that have direct relevance to our communities and their concerns. People’s Light makes plays drawn from many sources to entertain, inspire, and engage our community. We extend our mission of making and experiencing theatre through arts education programs that excite curiosity about, and deepen understanding of, the world around us. These plays and programs bring people together and provide opportunities for reflection, discovery, and celebration.

People’s Light has always called Chester County home. In 1979 we moved to our current location in Malvern. The Theatre employs 100 full- and permanent part-time artists and staff members, many of whom live within 15 miles of the campus, and almost 200 guest artists each season from Philadelphia, New York, Washington D.C., and beyond.
